Dr. Arbeau started Arbeau Sports Medicine (ASM) in 2016. What started as a small venture seeing patients a couple days a month has morphed into very busy and regular clinic days. It has been thoroughly enjoyable helping many patients get back to sports, hobbies and daily life activities. As things with the clinic progressed, the long-term vision became to have our own space to grow a team of physicians and other health care professionals that share the same love for helping patients while spending time in a fun and enjoyable work environment! This led to partnering with Marcello to develop the Arbeau Sports Medicine Centre! Combining his business background with Ryan and Sarah’s sports medicine experience has allowed for an exciting and successful development of a much needed service in this area.
With a general love for sports, Dr. Arbeau can be found both playing and watching many sports. In his clinic and ER off time, he loves spending time at the rink as one of the team physicians for the London Knights. He resides in Lovely Lambeth with his wife and son, Dawson, who was just born in March 2022, just a few short months before opening ASMC- go big or go home, right?! Other than enjoying sports, you can find him and his family walking and biking through the neighborhood, hiking local trails, golfing, traveling, live music and enjoying lots of backyard BBQs by the pool! He likes to head back to his roots on the Miramichi River a couple times a year to visit family, enjoy the New Brunswick wildlife and scenery and is excited to introduce his son to fishing on the river like his dad did with him!

ASMC TEAM MEMBERS
Sarah Arbeau is a Pharmacist, Director of Operations and Co-Founder of the Arbeau Sports Medicine Centre (ASMC) along with Dr. Arbeau, Medical Director, and Marcello DeVincenzo, Business Director. Originally from the East Coast, Sarah grew up in New Brunswick and completed her Pharmacy degree in Nova Scotia at Dalhousie University in 2006. A few weeks after graduating pharmacy school, her and Ryan got married and have been through many crazy adventures together since! Sarah has worked a variety of roles as a pharmacist throughout her career, including retail, hospital and doing relief.
When Ryan and Sarah started Arbeau Sports Medicine in 2016, Sarah started out by helping with patient education and counseling, answering medication related questions, checking necessary drug interactions, ordering medications and supplies, administrative tasks, billing and bookkeeping. Because she has enjoyed working with the sports medicine patients, she continues her clinic role in addition to providing part-time relief coverage as a pharmacist. Sarah’s role at ASMC still consists of all of her previous tasks and is also now also responsible for training new team members, collaborating with the other health care providers that have come on board and helping make sure things run smoothly from day to day. She is excited to see this clinic come to life with Ryan and Marcello and all of the hard work that’s gone into it!
In her off time, she enjoys spending time with Ryan and their long-awaited son, Dawson who was just born in March 2022. You can find her walking and biking through the neighborhood with the boys, hiking local trails, golfing, traveling, enjoying live music, cooking, crafts, gardening and enjoying lots of backyard BBQs by the pool with family and friends! We love being able to get home and visit our families out East a couple times a year and enjoy the gorgeous NB scenery!
I was born in a small village in Italy just south of Naples, I immigrated to Canada with my family in 1964. I have lived and worked in London the entire time and specifically lived in Lambeth for 32 years. I have enjoyed a successful 37 year career at 3M in London where I held a number of senior management roles in Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Engineering. My most recent role was that of Corporate Engineering Manager, where I led a team of Engineers that managed all of 3M’s facilities and large capital projects. I hold a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Queens University, a technical diploma from Fanshawe College and I am also certified Six Sigma Black Belt. As I mentioned I live in Lambeth with my wife Betty and we have 2 children, Matthew and Julia. Since leaving 3M I have taken on a number of consulting roles where I was able to use my Six Sigma training to improve a number of operational and business processes.
My true passion is Pizza and Cured Meats. In 2008 I built an outdoor kitchen with a wood burning pizza oven and over the years we have become ‘experts’ at firing and cooking pizza in the oven. In the late winter, it’s sausage and salami season. Again, over the years, we have perfected a number of traditional recipes for both fresh sausage and cured salami. Between friends and neighbors we process about 350kgs of meat each season.
I first met Ryan and Sarah during the first COVID lockdown in 2020 at a socially distanced driveway gathering. Sarah would post a sign on her lawn “happy hour 4-6” and the neighbors would come with a chair and refreshments and discuss what else…. “the pandemic”. Since then, we have become good friends and now business partners. Partnering with the Arbeau's to open a sports medicine centre has been both exciting and demanding, and it has given me the opportunity to use my skills and experience coupled with Ryan and Sarah’s knowledge of the industry to bring this project to a very successful completion.
